Overview:

Displays and LCD-TVs often need to be set up at a distance from the computer, if only to eliminate the noise generated by modern multimedia computers.

DVI Extension Pro not only extends the DVI video cable but also places the entire set of USB peripherals close to the dislay. By daisy-chaining up to 4 DVI Extension Pro one an put up to 18 m between display, USB devices and the computer itself.

DVI Extension Pro thus enables the use of mouse, keyboard, digital camera, USB disk and any other USB device where you work, right in front of the display - even if the computer is in a different room.

Of course the image is displayed in the same pristine quality as you are used to when connecting the display directly to the computer nor does the USB 2.0 extension drop a single bit of its data, right up to the maximum resolution of 1920x1200 pixels or HDTV up to 1080p.

Compatibility:

DVI Extension Pro is compatible with any computer that has a DVI port. Computers without a DVI port can usually be upgraded with a 3rd party graphics card or an adapter like VGAtor.

DVI Extension Pro works with virtually all digital DVI displays from 15 - 24" and LCD-TVs with DVI or HDMI ports (DVI-HDMI adapter optional) currently on the market. We have specifically tested all Apple DVI Displays from 15" - 23" as well as LCD-TVs and DVI displays of other brands up to resolutions of 1600x1200 pixels (4:3) and 1920x1200 pixels (16:10).

DVI Extension Pro is compatible with all computers with USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 ports. All 3 USB speeds (480. 12, 1.2 MBit/s) are fully supported.

DVI Extension Pro may be daisy-chained up to a total length of 18 m (4 units), in video-only application up to 27 m (6 units). In such configurations up to 2 DVI Extension Pro may share a single power supply - the video+USB cable in the box will pass power on to the next unit for such applications.
